Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion

The 8th annual Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion, presented by Scotiabank, takes place across Canada on Sunday, June 13. Wheels in Motion brings communities together and touches the lives of thousands of Canadians with spinal cord injury every year. Funds raised support a wide range of life-enhancing programs that allow people with spinal cord injury to fully participate in their community and live life to its full potential.

The event features a wheelchair challenge, designed to provide participants with a better understanding of what it is like to navigate through life in a wheelchair. Teams race against the clock through an obstacle course and test their dexterity, manoeuvring techniques, and wheelchair sports skills. The fastest team wins!

As volunteers, you will be helping out with the wheelchair challenge, as well as with the event set-up and clean-up.

Refreshments will be provided, and all volunteers will receive a t-shirt & admission to Playland for the entire day!
