ASA Summer Icebreaker - Wednesday, May 22, 2013

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new members and returning members! We hope everyone had a wonderful break and enjoyed their first two weeks of school. To start off our new semester, we would like to invite everyone to our ASA Icebreaker. This would be a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy some fun games and get to know what ASA can provide for you!

Food Drive – May 22 , 2013 and May 27, 2013

ASA will have a Food Drive to help the less fortunate with their daily struggles. We will be collecting canned food during the ASA Summer Icebreaker and the first Summer 2013 ASA General Meeting.

Soap Kitchen – Wednesday, May 30, 2013

The Accounting Student Association and Salvation Army will be hosting a Soup Kitchen on May 30 to support the low-income individuals and homelessness.

CGA-BC: Affect of Accounting Merger

The Chairs and CEOs of the Certified Management Accountants Society of BC (CMA BC) and the Certified General Accountants Association of BC (CGA-BC), and the President and CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC (ICABC) have signed an agreement to pursue a merger.  The three self-regulated accounting designations will work together to become the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (CPABC) under the national CPA banner.
